How to: Send a Sling Link
Sling Money aims to make it incredibly simple to send money globally, even to people who may not have Sling Money. If you’re trying to send money to anyone in the countries we’re currently operating in, you can send them a Sling Link. This is digital cash that they can withdraw to their local payment method, without signing up for Sling Money*.
To do this, tap on ‘Pay anyone’, then ‘Pay someone not on Sling’. From there, just like paying someone who has Sling Money, you enter the amount and currency you’d like to send. Feel free to add a note or a picture as well! Then, once you confirm the amount, hit next to create a Sing Link. Now you can share it via any messaging app you like.
Your recipient will be able to withdraw the money into their local bank account, Pix account, mobile money wallet, etc. by inputting their details. Easy as that.
*Please note, in the United States, Sling Links can only be claimed to a verified Sling Money account. The money can then be withdrawn to a bank account or debit card as normal.
